I think making a new universe was the right call however I think WB Montreal made a mistake not using Arkham Knight's gameplay as the foundation. Gotham Knights looks rough. Like, really rough. TBH, I generally have more fun with Gotham Knights than I did Arkham Asylum and like the campaign better than Arkham Knight. Asylum is a fun one and done game that I enjoy when I play it, but by the time I'm done, I have zero rush to ever replay. It's the bones that would grow into the infinitely better Arkham City.
