Infuse these with Agony Resistance and run fractals. You may even get more ascended gear. You can get ascended gear (weapons and armor) doing Strike Missions or completing the elite specialization weapon quests (for select weapons). It's crafted out of some soulbound materials as well as timegated ones so it's obviously more expensive than base material value. Item pieces like panels and paddings are also tradable. It'll run you about 75 gold and 24 Vision Crystals. Armour and weapons, you'd need to get through fractal dailies or some daily boss kills. As a F2P player your chance to get ascended from fractal dailies is less than a HoT player since you won't have the fractal mastery, but the chance is still there. To fully gear a character with ascended gear under optimal circumstances (with crafting 500 unlocked), it will cost around 250-300 gold. This is a lot if you consider that the stat increase isn't marginally higher relative to the price difference. Then, why do players craft ascended gear? This ultimately comes down to a few reasons mainly. I honestly can't remember the time I completed my first set of ascended armor and now I am sitting with like 20 characters with one or more sets of asc armor. I was looking for this comment- if you have full WvW infusions and an ascended breather, the value of that breather is that you can pop in a swim speed infusion and troll the shit out of people by kiting them hard underwater at bay or around South Island lake area by being so much faster.
