Start Mode – Start mode is initiated by releasing the foot brake. Electronic Gearbox For versions of the Citroën Dispatch with a electronic gearbox, to initiate engine standby, your speed must be below 5 mph (8 km/h). Stop mode is induced automatically when the brake pedal is pressed or the gear selector lever is placed into position ‘N’.
try this, if the car wont start push the pedal all the way to the floor and hold it ther while you crank. It sounds like you are flooding the car some how. Pushing the pedal to the floor puts the car into clear flood mode and it shuts off the fuel flow. try and see just a suggestion. Jan 18, 2009 • 1999 Ford Taurus.
Not sure what else I could check: Fuses in engine bay look good Fuses in glove-box look good Battery is fully charged Fuse box in engine bay is dry on top and underneath ECU plugs are fully pushed home Car is in eco-mode, circuits disabled as you'd expect Fuel pump doesn't kick in when you turn the ignition on ECO does not respond to OBD (this
As soon as the engine is started again, ECO MODE will clear. If the engine fails to start, then you have an immobiliser, starter or engine fault and not a eco mode fault. What is Citroen eco mode? Economy mode or ‘Eco Mode’ is activated by the car computer (BSI) to save the battery power when the ignition has been left on and the engine not
Help! I can't log in. I’m not having much luck with this car. I’ve now got an ECO Mode problem. Battery is showing 12.4V and status ok. Tried BSI reset. Checked for any left of electrical items. ECO Mode comes on the radio.
Stuck in eco-mode, the usual circuits are disabled as a result, and the fuel pump doesn't appear to prime the engine (you can't hear the pump at all). Naturally, the car doesn't start as a result. I've noticed that the gearbox is slightly stiffer (it's been sat for a while!).
Re: Citroen C2 - will not start after changing the battery. The Mk2 C2's starter is run from a relay in the BSM (engine bay fuse box). This relay is indirectly driven from the CAN BUS. In this case the ignition switch sends a signal to the BSI (glove box fuse box) and the BSI puts a signal on the CAN BUS to run the starter.
Technical operation. The working of Eco mode in a car is mainly associated with the engine. In simple words, it automatically turns off the engine. For instance, the engine stops working on a pause at the traffic lights for any length of duration. And, as soon the clutch pedal is pressed along with the accelerator, it again starts the engine.
My car keeps sayings its in eco mode we've tried: disconnecting the battery Resetting the BSI And a few others but still wont come out of eco mode. Got it out of eco-mode the other day but went back into it and the same solution isn't working this time.
6,000. Location. Expat in the USA. So I'm in the UK for two weeks renting a Citroen C4 Diesel. Whenever i go into neutral, like when i'm in the lights, and take my foot off the clutch the engine cuts out It immediately starts up again, as soon as I put my foot back down on the clutch to put the car in gear.
