if you use directX 12,you should uninstall it and download directX 11,this game is old so can't play with dx12. WRONG ANSWER. yes its true that far cry 4 uses DX 11 .. but so does FC 5 and New Dawn as well as many other NEW GAMES. and DX 11 run times are installed with the game .. look in your FC 4 support folder. Game won't launch anymore. I played the game for 15 hours and it worked fine yesterday now it wont start. the window will pop up saying Far Cry 4 and ubisoft connect will flash but then it stops.
